DALLAS – December 11, 2017 - entegra technologies, inc. is pleased to announce a partnership initiative with the Executive MBA (EMBA) program in the Naveen Jindal School of Management at The University of Texas at Dallas. During the upcoming spring semester, members of the EMBA class of 2018 will participate in a collaborative research project with the entegra executive team. Students in the Transformation Field Project course will focus on the fiduciary responsibility and liabilities of corporate boards of directors and their implications for entegra.
One objective of the Transformation Field Project course is for students to apply and integrate learning from classes previously completed. In this final course, EMBA students serve in the role of a consultant and collaborate with the executive team of a client organization to improve the company's performance and outlook. Because this course is taught in the last semester of the program, students will leverage what they have learned in previous courses — such as Corporate Finance, Information Technology Strategy, Marketing Management, Organizational Behavior, Quantitative Introduction to Risk and Uncertainty in Business, and more.
"Students will benefit by addressing complex business challenges and opportunities, which will stretch them to apply classroom concepts to a real-world situation. entegra technologies, inc. will benefit from the analysis and insights of the consulting team as it strives to drive tangible value creation, which is an imperative for all consultants,” said Warren L. Strickland Jr., a senior advisor and director emeritus of McKinsey & Company, Inc., who serves on the EMBA program faculty and teaches the Transformation Field Project course.
"We welcome the opportunity to work with these smart and experienced executive-level students as we build a focused and systemic approach to these critical issues. Corporate governance regarding cybersecurity is a significant risk. The EMBA students’ research will provide relevant and current information in this critical environment. Using their newly acquired skills will develop and encourage new thought leadership on how to message and communicate compelling governance and corporate risk. We provide the students an opportunity to work within a fast-paced cybersecurity organization, and we receive valuable information in return. We are truly honored to be selected to participate in this program,” said Nancy Shemwell, CEO of entegra technologies, inc.
During this project, in addition to core research information, entegra will provide the EMBA team access to National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) research, independent directors and a host of other resources not easily gained in the classroom.
